Just a Note

I've neglected posting notes lately as life has gotten a bit busy!  While looking for something on my computer totally unrelated to the Notes of Kindness Project, I came across this one.  Such simple words, yet very meaningful.  I happened to of found this one at just the right moment that made me smile.  I hope it finds you at just the right moment as well!

This Week's Sweet Note

I love the note from this week!  So simple yet I think it would brighten anyone's day.  It's completely handmade.  The scan doesn't do it justice.  The red is painted and the heart is hand stitched.  It simply reads: Happy Valentine's Day all year! 2011

CT Magazine Feature 40 Under 40

Photo from CT Magazine March 2011

So CT Magazine March 2011 is out, it's official I'm included in their article "40 Under 40"!  I guess a while ago there was a submission call and little did I know one of my clients submitted me for the article.  So I'd like to say a little thank you to CT Magazine for including me amongst the doctors, lawyers and important decision makers in CT.  Here is their kind write up:

"Lauren Fister ● 31 ● Norwalk
There’s a definite theme running through Lauren Fister’s resumé. First she did stints at Martha Stewart Living and Food & Wine. Now she’s senior designer at Studio Snaidero SoNo, which designs and remodels kitchens. In the meantime, she’s parlayed her loves of food, cooking and photography into chatN’chow, a lively blog on restaurants, local food happenings and recipes. In 2011, she’s embarked on something a little different: spreading kindness (visit www.randomnotesofkindness.com)."

Please visit my mentioned project Random Notes of Kindness.  The letters that I have been receiving are amazing and have far passed any expectations I had!!

Bananas!

I've been terrible with posting all of the wonderful notes we've received!  Here's one that came in this week.  People often ask what to write, my answer is absolutely anything positive that comes to mind.  This is a perfect example.

Notes of Kindness in the News!!

When I went to the gas station this weekend, I was SO surprised to see Random Notes of Kindness on the front page of our local paper! I knew the article was coming out, but I thought it would be in one of the back community sections!

Needless to say I'm thrilled to receive the coverage and I hope it's just the beginning for this project.  The only way this project will be able to take off is with the participation and support from you!  Having news outlets cover this project means so much.

Thank you Norwalk Hour!!

Coming Soon

Welcome to Random Notes of Kindness!  I'm so very excited about this project and cannot wait for the official launch of RandomNotesOfKindness.com.

Words of kindness are important!  The Random Notes of Kindness Project will spread kind words across the US and hopefully across the world!

Have you ever received a random compliment?  Has a passerby ever smiled at you while walking down the street?  Did you ever find a note in your lunch box?  Has a coach ever given you words of encouragement?

Can you remember the feeling of receiving those words or actions of kindness?  When was the last time you had that feeling?

Electronic messages are (most often) fleeting.  They are read quickly and discarded (deleted) quickly.  Although anonymous, the Random Notes Project is meant to bring back the tangible.  When was the last time you received a piece of mail that was not a bill, advertisement or catalog?  When was the last time you experienced the thrill of tearing open an envelope to reveal a hand written message?

Random Notes of Kindness will spread these messages and feelings.

Please check back soon for updates and the official launch!

Peace!
